On a Friday in September many years ago 3 girls went into a large forest in northern Germany. They never returned. Apoptose followed their path into the woods and listened closely to the voices whispering among the trees. "Bannwald" reflects the girls' journey to a realm of witchcraft, fairy-tales and ancient goddesses. Here in the green twilight of rustling leafs and crackling twigs nothing is as it seems and reality is covered by a thick layer of autumn foliage. The term "Bannwald" bears a double meaning: On one hand it stands for a protected woodland where nobody is allowed to cut trees or even to enter. On the other hand "Bann" is an ancient word for ban or spell. After the urban nightmares of "Schattenmädchen", Apoptose come back to the northern wilderness once more, the home of their first album "Nordland". On "Bannwald" they join forces again to invoke the spirits of moss-covered stones and hidden glades. Comes in a superb spot-varnished 8-panel digisleeve, with a booklet and a separate CD sleeve. Ctephin are a whole drone-family from the Great Plains creating bizarre and lovely ambient noise, atmospheric and noisy soundscapes with various friends and their 7 children. Calling themselves "Umbrella Noize Collective", they live to the: "Law of Liberty as laid out in Liber AL vel Legis". "Duad" is their first vinyl release and uses pumping drones, field recordings, guitars, metallic effects and a kind of very harmonic cembalo instrument. The legend of the Polish industrial scene returns with 10 hypnotic, beautiful songs in the trance / ritual style of Different State. "Sometimes the world rejects us: alienation, isolation. It happened to me. I was looking for a source to figure myself out. I decided to check myself into a clinic for people who are addicted to drugs and have psychological problems. This wasn’t easy for me, as the state of my existence throws shadow. Everything was binding me. I talked to my doctor about needing electronic equipment to make samples and music. Basically I was lonely but I knew I could record some unconventional sound. I made samples of everything in my cell: metal bed, sink, plates, A/C, wood floor, guards… everything that surrounded me. When I got out, I had a picture of what I would do with the recordings. In my recording studio in Lindenhurst, Long Island, I joined together all the sounds plus analogues to create esoteric and unique music." 6-panel digipak.

Originally, the intention was to put together a double album, centering around an escalated excitement with the idea of cities as new, blank texts – contrasted with the kind of sense of alienation and loss evoked in such works as J.G. Ballard’s Concrete Island. "Summer Salt & Subway Sun" works as a kind of survival or synthesis of these ideas. It neatly encapsulates two key aspects of the music Eyeless in Gaza (Martyn Bates & Peter Becker) are presently creating - a balance of atmospheric / acoustic material and sprawling, rhythmic / semi-improvised spidery electric pieces. This has resulted in a blend of song based material juxtaposed with a distinctive brand of kaleidoscopic, "cityscaping” filmic music. This CD marked the debut of a new label piloted by John Fahey, in 1997. His first solo disc since 1995, Happy Days pits a lone acoustic guitar against a phalanx of hurdy-gurdies, a decided shift away from the composer's electronic-based work. O'Rourke's working relationships with Tony Conrad and John Fahey each find new resonance in this hybrid of early American minimalism and steel string guitar. A member of the 80s mail-art-scene and the King of metal Junk Noise in the 90s, Kimihide Kusafuka is a surgical pathologist and a scientist started his musical activity. After early period of ambient/industrial works, then blasting metal collages, in the end of 2009 K2 started a new chapter, changed the method and the style of his noise. "HA GA NE” is made with processed old metal tape recordings and distorted Korg MS-20 synth, recorded and mixed traditionally on MTR. Loud’n’fast cut-up noise! Ltd x 250 hand-numbered copies. Maybe the most mysterious and thought-provoking German experimental project with recordings derived from field recordings so bizarre it's difficult to find any words for it! This work features very short sequences of concrete sounds, arranged in a structural and temporal way that the "known reality" is placed in a new frame and context, thus making it possible that the world behind may become "visible" through our acoustic senses. What is usually familiar is suspended in order to make new experiences. The acoustic elements have been configured in a certain causal formation which is not consciously perceivable within the phenomenal order. The phenomenon hides the principle & substance of the sound-pieces. Limited to 500 copies on fluorescent green coloured vinyl, with a full colour sleeve designed by Andreas Mal Hoeschen.
