Cold Spring are proud to announce a double CD of rare, alternative versions, new and unreleased material from German Martial Industrial legends Von Thronstahl! The sounds on "Conscriptvm" range from Orchestral to Industrial, Neofolk to military-pop and Martial rock, all with the unmistakable, unique sound of Von Thronstahl! This is definitely a release for fans of the early 'classic' Von Thronstahl sound, which gained them the solid reputation they have today and could be considered a companion piece to 'E Pluribus Unum'. Around 140 minutes of fantastic music presented in a luxurious 6-panel digipak.

FIRE IN THE HEAD - 'Confessions Of A Narcissist' CD (Cold Spring CSR120CD) - £8 / £9 / £10

"Confessions Of A Narcissist" marks the final full-length release by Fire In The Head ending six years of sonic warfare with an assault of manic, self-indulgent industrial electronics. Drawing as much influence from early punk / hardcore as from industrial / power electronics, FI/T/H was conceived as a cathartic outlet to explore and ratify the delusions and social perversions resultant of psychosis and the darker side of man's conflicted dual nature, to fan the flames which engulf the borders between obsession, compulsion, lust and need. The tracks on this release were recorded in 2007-2008 and are the last of the "short, sharp, shock" vocal tracks which Michael abandoned in favour of "epic" length industrial / ambient compositions. Features guest appearances from Nick Blinko (Rudimentary Peni) and J. Randall (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), with exclusive artwork from Blinko.

Year Of No Light have recruited two new thirsty mercenaries to their line-up: Shiran, of über-doom combo Monarch! and Mathieu, of deviant-electronics act Aeroflot. Out of their cave, they crept into an old theatre to record these 4 tracks, catching every possible vibration of the trembling frame of this enlivened new mansion. All the energy collected there forms "Ausserwelt”, the sophomore album of Year Of No Light. Mystical emanations flow out of these riffs colliding into each other to an in ear-splitting shriek. Cranked amps and molested drums hurl their mourning chant as a choir intoning its final psalms at the dawn of the Last Judgment. Year Of No Light follows the path opened by "Nord” towards more sombre psychedelics, creating its own blend of black metal, sludge, drone or any other influence marked with the seal of darkness. WOLFMANGLER - 'They Call Us Naughty Wolves' CD (God Is Myth) - £10.50 / £11.50 / £12.50

D. Smolken (also of Dead Raven Choir) returns to the God is Myth stable in the form of his slow, grim and noisy chamber doom outfit Wolfmangler. With the spirit of past Wolfmangler releases where covers of folk songs, classical music pieces and jazz standards are the main lifeblood, this latest work entitled "They Call Us Naughty Wolves" is the band's unique take on pop music from yesteryear. The results are very much reminiscent of a blackened burlesque chamber ensemble funnelled through a broken radio in a post-apocalyptic wasteland picking up distorted pieces of hits from the 1930s.

TO BLACKEN THE PAGES / KORPERSCHWACHE - 'A Way Dark' 2 x CD (Colony Records) - £13.50 / £14.50 / £15.50

"A Way Dark" is a bold work from two of the most pioneering blackened noise guitar musicians working today: Texas-based Korperschwache and Dublin's To Blacken the Pages. From lighter, shoegaze inspired tracks, to harder, more abstract compositions, and of course exploring the juxtaposition of each artist's extreme guitar work. The album was a chance for both musicians to challenge other – each taking turns to suggest themes and ideas, for example each working with drum patterns and guitar structures, RKF (Korperschwache) often providing a sonic wall of drone while Paul McAree (To Blacken the Pages) would blaze guitar solos over the top.
